About 2 years ago I was lucky enough to meet up with my best friend from senior school, after nearly 30 years of no contact at all. The funny thing was that when I met her again after all those years, she hadn’t changed one bit. It was like we had only met the day before, despite our lives taking very different twists and turns. Last night we met up at Ronnie Scotts in London, one of my favourite places on the planet. We had the best time together doing what we both love – fantastic conversation, listening to great music, laughing together and being really appreciative of each other’s company. When I looked at my friend, I just thought how she epitomised the Feel Fab at 50 woman. She is slim, beautiful and intelligent (but that goes without saying, she’s a friend of mine so what would you expect) but there is something else about her that is so endearing and refreshing. She loves her life and you can see it. Of course, her life has its ups and downs (doesn’t everyone’s?) but she prioritises the inclusion into her world of activities and people that make her happy. This doesn’t mean she needs to spend lots of money. A good run is at the top of her daily agenda for helping her feel on top of her world and providing an endorphin-based glow. So ladies, what are you going to do to ensure you too have a radiance about you? What can you schedule in today, and tomorrow, that will give you an uplift? Botox and surgery will never be a substitute, believe me.
