You bet they were. I did something last night that I have never ever thought I would be asked to do in my wildest dreams. Yes, I was modelling a new collection of clothes on a catwalk!! Yes me - amazing.
I don’t think Kate and Naomi have much to worry about but I loved the experience and unlike Naomi, I didn’t fall over my killer heels.
What was really great about the range was how adaptable it was and how the clothes flattered all the models who’s ages ranged from 15 up to 50 something and who were all completely different shapes, sizes and colourings.
I can also see now why models are so thin. After changing into 10 completely different outfits, with 1 minute between changes, I was exhausted. It’s very physical being gorgeous
If you missed out on an invite and would like to take a look you can see us in a double page spread in Saturday’s Evening Telegraph, which I expect will be also available on line a few days later. The whole show, from start to finish, was televised so look out for it on You Tube too.
The clothes - you can find them on www.eyzzclub.co.uk
And to the fabulous designer, Anne Foxley -Green, a big thank you for having faith that your clothes could still look wonderful on my middle aged body on your big launch night. It was a huge honour and one I’ll never forget. Move over Twiggy!
I almost forgot. The reason this all was able to happen? Anne came along to one of my Feel Fab at 50 social events and that’s how we met. She’s now a regular, and last night I met at least 3 more women who also want to join in. Peterborough is definitely becoming THE place for the Fabulous 50 something

I mentioned in a previous blog that I had been away on a mind, body, soul weekend. Much as I love yoga, even I would find 8 hours a day a bit much so I decided to tap into a couple of workshops instead.
The first was Love Your Body Love Your Life, the presenter Beverley Drumm (pictured), an ex Management Consultant who completely changed her life and now runs inspirational classes in Nia Technique and Kundalini Yoga, both slow to catch on in the UK but making their presence felt.
Beverley began the presentation by asking how many of us in the room (about 35 I guess) loved their body and their life. I wasn’t surprised to see only 2 hands rise. In fact, I was surprised that any were raised at all. Isn’t that so sad?
What is it about society today that says we all have to be so perfect and that we need to have it all? I think, as women, we are always looking for something else in our lives - and I’m no different here - but perhaps we should sometimes just stop and smell the coffee, by giving thanks for what we have in the here and now. The future doesn’t exist, only the present is real.
Come on ladies, celebrate who you are, embrace your unique gifts and talents and live a joyful life. It’s the only one you have. Don’t like the way you look? Then see an image professional who can help you discover who you are and dress authentically. That’s what we’re here for.

Then you’re in luck.
Like many of us, Oprah has realised that she has a closet that is cluttering up her life and her space. With the help of an image professional (please note that even Oprah needs someone like me in her life ) she has been able to discard those items that no longer serve her, as she is now. Also discovering her unique style through the process, she had an epiphany/’aha’ moment about why some of her choices were never worn. This is the power of a closet cleanse.
If you want to own some of Oprah’s cast offs - many unworn - and help her South African Leadership Academy for Girls in the process then you will need to go to O’s eBay auction which runs from March 1st - 11th. Visit oprah.com/oprahauction for more details.

Just come back from something we should all do more of - a weekend away with your girlfriends. Pampering, yoga, fabulous lectures, great food and brilliant instructors all allowed us, individually, to get the most of the time we had away from our normal routines.
I can never believe the price of this fantastic holiday (I go every year so am well known to the organisers) as the quality of everything on offer is so high. Check it out:

I’ve already booked a pampering weekend in July in the newly refurbished Met Hotel in Leeds. Can’t wait.

No. I’m not alluding to an album by the Rolling Stones but the body ink patterns some people to choose to display on their bodies.
I’ve always been fascinated by tattoos. Never, ever wanting one myself, I’ve often wondered what prompts someone to have one (or more), what it means for them and how they select the appropriate design from the millions available.
But all that might be irrelevant as you can now buy an upmarket tattoo from - you’ll never guess where - Chanel. Of all the designer houses, this is the one I never would have thought would have embraced the tattoo (I suspect Coco will be turning in her grave) but I was wrong.
The ‘haute-tattoo’ is the latest fashion ‘must-have’. Apparently, the tattoo has lost its tacky status and it’s now cool to wear your designer label literally on your body. So if a double C is up your street, expect to pay £49 for 55 designs. But beware. Young skin is plump and taut so makes an ideal canvas for body art. Not sure if a 50 something’s flesh will have quite the same effect.

There is something happening on February 25th that I never thought would happen in my lifetime. I’ve been asked to model some clothes for a fabulous 50’s something designer, Anne Foxley-Green, who is opening a studio/warehouse right here in Peterborough. Born into a tailoring background, she was always going to have a needle and thread in her hands and this is her GRAND OPENING EVENT. You won’t want to miss it.
Tickets for the event are now available… if you haven’t booked yours yet then do so NOW! There will be no admission on the night without a ticket… numbers are limited and tickets are going fast!
So, what can you look forward to?
All of the clothes currently on the website modelled on our catwalk
A whole new range of clothes as well… including some truly stunning evening wear
• First look at the new designs and concepts… they will not be on the website until after the opening.
• A welcome glass of wine and … ahem, for those who aren’t driving… another one at the break. Soft drinks alternatives provided.
• Some fantastic food from a world-class catering company
• Two sets of songs from a wonderful singer who should really have been on X Factor
• Special ‘on the night only’ offers
• A prize draw at the end of the evening for 2 x £100 vouchers … which is one of the reasons why it is ticket only: no ticket, no prizes!
The cost of the tickets? Nothing… nada… so no excuse, book your ticket NOW before someone else does and they sell out!
We promise you an evening to remember…

My favourite perfume is by Narciso Rodriguez and it’s the only thing from this brilliant designer’s collection that I can afford to buy. But that may change. The New York Fashion Week designer has created a diffusion collection for the auction site eBay, with prices starting from $65/£42. His dresses usually sell for about $1800, so a massive saving. His first showing will be 8 capsule pieces with the most expensive around $350/£250.

If you’re a Pilates fan, then you might be thrilled to find out that it’s moving into the water.
I love the way Pilates encourages great posture - always a great slimming aid - and lengthens your limbs so you appear more graceful and lean. I’m really not sure about the water element.
Being short-sighted, anything water based is an effort with glasses so isn’t much fun, neither is the sensible lack of makeup. Call me vain, but I would never go the gym without at least my basics (lipstick and mascara). I also can’t stand the smell of chlorine and how it never seems to disappear, even when you’ve taken a shower.
So for me. the jury is out.
If any of you have tried it, let me know what you think.

Hot and bothered? Don’t know who to ask or what to do for the best?
There’s no need if you know where to go and who to ask.
The Menopause Exchange exists just for that reason.
Its aim is to provide reliable, unbiased and easily understood information to women and healthcare professionals so they can make well informed decisions about the choices they take. Much of its work is done via a quarterly newsletter, which contains stacks of easy to assimilate information written by professionals.
If you want to take control and not feel that you are going through this alone, go to www.menopause-exchange.co.uk
