If, like me, you get heartily sick at the thought of buying underwear because you don’t have a bust to speak of, then you might find solace in Little Women. They design for women with even smaller breasts than me – AAA cups no less – which is terrific news. I always feel that choosing underwear is only possible if you have a more womanly figure and have always felt better looking at sports bras. But with this site in view, I shall change my mind and opt for lace and decadence! My husband will be thrilled!!

Remember the button through faded denim A line skirt that used to be all the rage in the 70′s and 80′s? It’s back. The designer? Stella McCartney no less. From what I remember, they were always so uncomfortable. The waistline never fitted properly and the buttons kept coming undone or ‘gaped’ when you sat down. To my way of thinking, this is really frumpy fashion so I’m assuming there will be a new way of wearing it to make it 21st century chic.
Never say never though. Always a sucker for a trend, you might well find me wearing one in a couple of weeks time, especially as they have hit H&M’s racks already – which means the high street will be full of them, hopefully with a slightly lower price tag than the £195 wanted by Stella.

I’ve been asked to appear on TVNZ, the New Zealand version of our BBC Breakfast. Later tonight I’ll be talking to host, Paul Henry, about the image of our main political leaders and their wives and how it might influence our voting. Scared – you bet, but also looking forward to being in front of my lovely image colleagues in their native country – even if it is only on screen. www.tvnz.nz NZ time 08.20 am on Friday 7th May. Wish me luck!!

with the new range of swimwear by Pistol Panties for John Lewis. All designed with REAL women in mind and some unusual styles to boot. Well worth a look, especially as this can be one of our most dreaded shopping purchases. The exclusive ‘Disco’ collection is inspired by the curvy pin-up girls of the 1950’s and the lycra clad starlets of Studio 54 from the 1970’s – but with a modern twist. Featuring supportive underwired halterneck tops and hip-slimming tiered briefs, ‘Disco’ will provide women with the unique Pistol Panties ‘figure-fixing’ effect.”
These high quality engineered designs start at £55 for bikini sets and £65 for one piece swimsuits. Uncompromising on quality and style, the ‘Disco’ collection uses very fine micro-fibre which makes the fabric ultra soft and very supportive. The striking range of bikinis includes; the halterneck ‘Brigitte’ with bow detail; the floral ‘Marilyn’ with tiered brief and the balconette ‘Betty’ in cute retro polka dot print. Sophisticated swimsuits include the classic cut ‘Jane’ halterneck and the ruffled one-shoulder ‘Lola’. I love them. Reminds me of the sexy women in Mad Men.
