You never know who is going to be attending one of your workshops and it’s always a real pleasure to meet with people from all walks of life who come along to learn and share their experiences. One of my most recent attendees was the talented Helen Elizabeth Evans. She is one of a handful of women who can help you to uncover your true life purpose, authentically, by reading your hands. When I went to meet her, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but if you’re imagining palmists, psychics or fortune tellers at a fair, then think again. Helen inks your palm and your fingers on both hands and you press onto paper to provide an imprint from which she takes her readings. Interestingly, my right hand, which I use a lot, had more intricate finger print details than my left, which I rarely use. Each squiggle (my term, not hers) and line tells a story. Helen is also an astrologer and matches the results found in your hands with detailed information gleaned from your birth chart. The results are amazing. I had so many moments of crystal clear clarity that I was almost overwhelmed. Many insights reached back to my earliest childhood memories and I saw recurring patterns of behaviour for the very first time in my life. I now have a real understanding of why I do things that sometimes are less than helpful, which gives me the tools to move beyond any that have limited me in the past. The main focus, and this is the really exciting part, is on your life’s purpose. I’m more than relieved to say that mine is doing what I’m doing now, transforming people by helping them find their authentic selves through the medium of clothing. It’s good to know.

I’m plagued by blisters on my feet so summer footwear is a nightmare. For many years, I’ve been a ridiculous sight in socks and boots or thick tights in 90 degrees of heat BUT no more. My saviour is in the form of Dr Scholl. I refuse to wear flat sandals or shoes so I was completely taken aback when I realised these strappy, high heeled sandals were from the same company that made the wooden ones with toe grips we wore many moons ago. These are the ultimate in comfort because every part of the sandal, including the underside of each strap, is cushioned – pure unadulterated bliss. I’ve shopped in London for 8 hours in these – no blisters. Just walking on air with great looking legs!
I bought these in the US, where they had 1/2 sizes – another reason these are so comfortable. You can purchase a variety of shoes and boots here in the UK if you go to their website: www.scholl.com but hurry, as there is a 50% reduction on many styles at the moment.

… of which there are only 2 others on the planet for just £175! Yes, it’s true. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to meet Susie Stone, who designs bespoke dresses for women who don’t have oodles of money but still want something unique. I was out on the town with my colleages from FIPI – Federation of Image Professionals International – and having visited the V&A and the Fashion & Textiles Museum to view fabulous clothing well out of our price range, meeting Susie was a very welcome addition to the day. I just happened to chance upon something off her ‘easy to wear’ rack and it looked so good, I just had to have it. For more info go to www.susiestone.com
